Compact, Lightweight and Reliable Butt Fusion

The Acrobat™ is a versatile machine designed for low- or high-force fusion of pipe and fittings. With a small footprint and a light weight, it can be carried from joint to joint yet it has the same rugged durability and long-lasting performance expected of any McElroy butt fusion machine.

Small Footprint

Versatile for any jobsite situation

The Acrobat was designed with a small footprint and optimal weight. The modular Acrobat HPU (Hydraulic Power Unit) consumes minimal power and is also lightweight, making it easy to move between fusion sites.

Cost-Effective Alternative to Electrofusion

Thanks to the Acrobat's small package, removable upper jaws and compact operations, it is the optimal piece of equipment for tie-ins, where typically electrofusion is the only option due to space confinement. The narrow jaw design and quick, toolless conversion from 4-jaws to 3- make the Acrobat an ideal tool for fusion of fitting and flanges.

Versatile Hydraulic Power

Versatile Hydraulic Power

Lightweight & Robust Power Options

The flexible Acrobat carriage is compatible with both the Acrobat and DynaMc® HPU (hydraulic power unit). Depending on the job's pipe size, DR and the fusion standard used, the Acrobat machine is capable of both high- and low-force fusions.

Both HPUs offer low power consumption. The Acrobat HPU's smart design also allows both the heater and facer to plug into the HPU, allowing the entire machine to draw power from only one receptacle.

Preset Pressures

Smarter Design Produces More Efficient Operations

The smart design of both the Acrobat and DynaMc HPUs allow the operator to pre-set the facing, heating and fusing pressures individually without having to make adjustments between operations — greatly streamlining the fusion process.

DataLogger Compatible

DataLogger® Compatible

Record & Analyze Fusion Joint Data

Acrobat machines are compatible with the McElroy DataLogger, a handheld computer that records and documents the key parameters of the fusion process. These joint records are used to verify that proper fusion procedures have been followed prior to installation, which is a growing jobsite requirement. Joint records from the DataLogger can be stored and analyzed in the DataLogger Vault™, a secure server on the internet. This allows quick and easy sorting, tagging and sharing of joint records by machine, joint, operator, device or job.
