To understand what life at McElroy is like, it might be helpful to know how we started... McElroy Company History In 1952, Art McElroy started McElroy Manufacturing (MMI) in a small garage in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He had a knack for the science of design. With strong work ethic and a desire to succeed, he and his wife Panny worked to make their dream a reality. In the early 1960s, MMI became the forerunner in the fintube industry market. Art McElroy refined the design of the machine over a period of about 15 years, but by the end of the decade, MMI was shipping fintube machinery all over the world. Today, MMI holds 24 U.S. and foreign patents on fintube-related equipment. It’s estimated that as much as 80 percent of all finned tubes have been manufactured on MMI fintube machines. In 1969, MMI designed their first polyethylene fusion machine. Today, the complete line of McElroy fusion equipment is considered to be the most rugged and reliable in the world. In addition to the fusion equipment, McElroy backs the product with sales, service and training that is unmatched in the pipe fusion industry. Art McElroy was an outstanding inventor, engineer, and businessman who established the same strongholds in various industries that McElroy enjoys today. Following his passing in 1988, Chip McElroy took over direction of the company and has led McElroy through a great period of economic growth and expansion. Today, MMI stands as a leader in engineering and manufacturing sectors. Each day, MMI continues to place a strong emphasis on product development and improvement to ensure its position at the apex of the fusion and fintube industries. We hope you are interested in joining a team that continues to forge a great path. It’s about family here, and it always has been. Our Corporate Offices (Fulton Location) |
