Small Diameter Fusion Operations School - 101

The primary purpose of this session is to develop and refine fusion skills on machines that fuse smaller diameter pipe.  This class will teach the proper fusion techniques for ½” thru 4” pipe as set by PPI standards TR-33 & TR-41.

Machines Covered:

This class is approximately 30 percent classroom instruction and 70 percent hands-on application.  McElroy instructors will observe, assist and document all fusions completed by the students.

Upon successful completion of the training, the student will be given a McElroy Small Diameter Fusion Machine Operator training certificate.

The included testing session is based on domestic and international standards along with the instruction that is delivered in the McElroy University Small Diameter Manual Fusion School.  The student will be required complete and pass (80% or greater score), both a written test and hands-on fusion test.  This is a pass or fail session, if the student fails the testing they will be required to re-enroll in another session to qualify.

Upon successful completion of the testing, the student will be given a McElroy Small Diameter Fusion Machine Operator Qualification certificate and wallet card.

Small Diameter Troubleshooting & Rebuild School - 103

The primary focus of this session is on maintenance and overhaul of McElroy small diameter manual fusion machines.  The emphasis is on manual machines (MiniMc thru No. 14 PitBull.  The students will build a No. 14 Manual Fusion Machine and troubleshoot a 2” fusion machine and a Sidewinder fusion machine.

Machines Covered:

This class is approximately 30 percent classroom instruction and 70 percent hands-on application.  McElroy instructors will observe, assist and document all work completed by the students.

Mid-Range Diameter Fusion Operations School - 201

The primary purpose of this session is to develop and refine fusion skills on machines that fuse mid-range diameter pipe.  This class will teach the proper fusion techniques for 2” thru 20” pipe as set by PPI standards TR-33 & TR-41.

Machines Covered:

This class is approximately 30 percent classroom instruction and 70 percent hands-on application.  McElroy instructors will observe, assist and document all fusions completed by the students.

Upon successful completion of the training, the student will be given a McElroy Mid-Range Fusion Machine Operator training certificate.

Mid-Range Diameter Troubleshooting & Rebuild School - 203

The primary focus of this session is related to the maintenance of electronic components of Mid-Range line of McElroy fusion machines.  Including, but not limited to the generator, heater, control systems, DataLogger and wiring schematics.  The students will troubleshoot and repair the electronics on a several Mid-Range fusion machines and troubleshoot a DataLogger.

This class is approximately 30 percent classroom instruction and 70 percent hands-on application.  McElroy instructors will observe, assist and document all work completed by the students.

Upon successful completion of the testing, the student will be given a McElroy Mid-Range Fusion Machine Electronics Certification certificate.  The certification is valid for 2 years from the successful completion of the testing.

The primary focus of this session is related to the maintenance of hydraulic components and mechanical operation of Large Diameter line of McElroy fusion machines.  The students will learn how to read the hydraulic schematics rebuild hydraulic cylinders and repair and trouble shoot the machines in the Large Diameter group of McElroy fusion machines.

Machines Covered:

This class is approximately 30 percent classroom instruction and 70 percent hands-on application.  McElroy instructors will observe, assist and document all work completed by the students.

The primary focus of this session is related to the maintenance of electronic components of TracStar® line of McElroy fusion machines.  Including, but not limited to the generator, heater, control systems, DataLogger and wiring schematics.  The students will troubleshoot and repair the electronics on several TracStar® fusion machines and troubleshoot a DataLogger.
