Jim is a registered Mechanical Engineer in the state of Oklahoma and has been with McElroy since 1973. While in Engineering, he developed the manifold block design used on all McElroy hydraulic machines. Jim is the Industry Relations Manager and is actively involved with many professional organizations such as the ASME, ASTM, PPI, AWS, AGA and AWWA and has authored numerous Standards and Technical documents.

He is the Chairman of the ASTM F17.20 Joining Sub-Committee, Vice Chairman of the AWS Plastics Committee,  Vice Chairman of the PPI Advisory Board, past Chairman of the PPI Municipal and Industrial Division and past Chairman of the Mid-Continent Section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
